Sam McCarthy (aka Pets) has been playing music since he was 15 — childhood years were spent in Portsmouth writing songs and playing in the local bars — when he hit 21, he made the move to London writing and recording a selection of beautiful love songs: ‘If You Could See Me’ performed by Eliza Doolittle and 2 further songs from his album, ‘Home’ and ‘Cherry Tree’ which feature in the BBC sitcom series, ‘Gavin & Stacey’.
Sam has since been writing songs with a string of artists: Harry Styles, Geri Halliwell, The Kooks and Grammy award winning singer-songwriter, Amy Wadge. He has also been engrossed in development production & writing for some key breaking artists: Bobby Bazini [Universal Canada], Jeremy Loops [Kartel], Dagny [Republic Records], Dan Owen [Universal], Billy Lockett [Warner Music], Sam Calver [Island Records] Matt Wills [Virgin], Johnny Lloyd [Parlophone], Nashville artist Jeffrey James, Jordan MacKampra, Jack Savoretti, Matt Woods, Barns Courtney, Wolffe.
