Matthew Herbert

One of the most important British artists of his generation, Matthew’s credits cover cinematic scoring and avant-garde composition to iconic, leftfield dance floor tracks and remixes.

Particularly known to a generation for his 1990s and 2000s dance releases including the album Bodily Functions, Matthew has also worked with artists such as Mica Levi, Roisin Murphy, The Invisible and frequently collaboration with Björk. His label Accidental Records has long been the vehicle for platforming pioneering releases.

Matthew’s film score credits include The Cave, Disobedience, A Fantastic Woman, Life In A Day, and for TV, Noughts and Crosses, Responder (for both of which he was nominated for an Ivor Novello Award) and The Beast Must Die.

His 2023 artist album The Horse further showcases Matthew’s unique concepts, methods and composition.
