Dai Watts is a composer, producer, Musical Director and multi-instrumentalist living in London.
As a found-sound artist he has created a range of instrumental works based round recordings of people and places that have been performed on the BBC, including The Ballad of Berwick Street Market, Fiesta!, Liminalondon and his latest album Isolarion.
In the UK Dai has composed music that has featured on shows for the BBC, ITV and Channels 4 and 5, including The One Show, Hollyoaks, Panorama and Come Dine With Me. His music has also appeared on TV, film and advertising worldwide, from the Netflix film Boxing Day to coverage of The Beijing and Paris Olympics.
As a Musical Director and pianist, Dai has performed on stages from Edinburgh Castle to Café de Paris to Glastonbury, working with artists and performers including Michael Ball, Ruthie Henshall, Russell Watson, Imagination and Il Divo. He also conducted the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at Angel Studios for the cast recording of Rachel Fuller and Pete Townshend’s new musical The Seeker, featuring Elton John, Nakhane and Emile Sandé.
