New Earthling album now available

It’s been a long time coming but ‘Insomniacs’ Ball’, the third album from Earthling (and their first since 2003) is now out (commercially, not as a library album). The band first came to nationwide attention alongside fellow Bristolians Portishead and Massive Attack as part of the downtempo hip hop-influenced scene that was tagged Trip Hop. Earthling is Tim Saul, who contributed Classical Chillout (ESL088) for Standard Music Library, and rapper Mau.

Take a closer listen to A Great Year Without Shadows and you may recognise elements of Memory Cabinet from Tim’s album for Standard.
